| Well run, family-owned pub right in the centre of town. It has always been the busiet bar in Thurso and this seems to still be the case. Staff are pretty outgoing, friendly and efficient (some staff have been here for years - always a good sign). Good selection of lagers, beers and cask ales (mostly locally brewed). Bar meals is the usual fare - not as good as it used to be but still ok. Good for watching sports (4 plasma screens). There is live music quite often at the weekends. Most bars in Thurso are pretty friendly (with one or two exceptions) and this is the same, frequented by a good mix of the local population. highlandpaddy - 1 Jul 2009 11:14 |
