Great pub for live football on TV . Good beer at good prices and efficient bar staff. Surprisingly good pub food too. Not recommended if you want a quiet drink on a night when a big match is on TV. I'd put The Muckles in my top ten list of pubs in Harrogate. DaveRC - 4 Feb 2016 21:55 |
On my recent visit the meals were mediocre saying there was not a lot of meat , The Landlord walked about like the head chicken on a chicken farm and we found him quite ignorant ,Although the staff was pleasant , The beer was reasonably priced though and great for smokers as they have turned the back into a smokers yard , Although on the edge of town its alright if you want a pint but there is better choices when it comes to food as you will find yourselves basically sat in the middle of the small pub rubbing shoulders with just drinkers and smokers . The food let us down solicitor1 - 8 Jul 2014 15:27 |
Had the worst pint I've ever had at this pub. Black Sheep, which was unrecognisable. If you like your beer, go to the Coach and Horses or the Tap and Spile, both of which are very close by. dalesman1000 - 24 Dec 2010 14:42 |
I can only agree with redmax. exercitusx - 7 May 2010 18:42 |
The previous (wholly impartial, I'm sure) reviewer comments that "Muckles will exceed your expectaions". I'm sure this is true, as most Harrogate dwellers would have zero-level expectations of the place. If you want to drink Fosters, watch Sky Sports and have blaring music pumped out at you then this is probably the place for you. But then three-quarters of town pubs give you much the same experience. redmax - 3 Mar 2010 13:42 |
