Dull beer and slightly snooty attitude unfortunately. It was a quick sup up and a move to somewhere more comfortable. imdownthepub - 17 Sep 2009 09:35 |
Pleasantly modernised village inn, at the far end of the village, the welcome smell of a wood burning stove on entry as there was still snow covering the carpark when I visited. Tasteful decor, a mixture of modern and traditional. Excellent Black Sheep supported by Youngs Bitter, a bit of a rarity in Yorkshire, and Hobgoblin on as a guest. A small but well chosen list of malts representing all the Scotch whisky producing regions. Other beers are John Smiths smooth, Carling, Fosters, Strongbow etc, plus the less common Staropramen. Food very much part of the set up but I didn't try any so can't comment. anonymous - 13 Jun 2009 14:59 |
