While the landord's commitment to guest beers is admirable, his concentration on pale ales to the exclusion of all else is rather baffling. Ivan_Dobski - 27 Oct 2013 11:46 |
Good views but I was disappointed overall. Two large open rooms with very little character and in need of some money spending on the place. The Beowulf Swordsman was new to me and eagerly anticipated but it was too cold. At £3.10 it was more expensive than the hardly-adventurous Wye Valley HPA and Hobson's Best. My liver and bacon casserole was extremely plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced which was a plus. paul_d102 - 3 Dec 2012 13:39 |
Amazing views..........unless when you visit on possibly the foggiest murkiest day in June and that bad we couldn't see the other side of the road!! However the decent ales and good service softened the blow!! 7/10 fat_beer_badger - 8 Sep 2012 20:31 |
Perfect place for a stop if you're out walking on the Malverns, as we were yesterday, but easy to miss as its just round the corner on the Worcester side of the ridge on the B4218. Excellent well kept beer, with a good mix of local ales and offerings from further afield. We tried Kinver Crystal, Otter and Exmoor Gold yesterday, all good pints. Decent bar meals too, at sensible prices. (Also had a Sunday roast there last month which was good value). Dog friendly too, and did I forget to mention the view...? bike2beer - 3 Jan 2012 11:25 |
Nice place to stop at when walking the hills. The views are really something you have to see Really nice place to take a break when walking the hills. The landlord has a reputation of having zero tolerance on trouble makers so it is very civilised and you wont feel intimidated! They do food as well but it really is a nice pub at a gorgeous location! malvernpubreviewer - 15 Apr 2011 16:42 |
