Met a right auld slapper in here a few weeks ago.A red head by the name of Rebekha. She'd missed the last helicopter home to Chipping Norton, so she said.Classy broad. Tramadolkid - 17 Jul 2011 21:57 |
As dingy and run down as it was 6 years ago but there's no getting away from the Highway roaring on the doorstep. Nothing special about the beer, staff or food. danrkelly - 3 Jun 2008 18:35 |
There is not much going for The Caxton. Its location next to an arterial road is ghastly; it has little natural light; the staff can be brusque; the furniture appears to have been sourced from a police auction; the hand dryer in the gents hasn't worked for years; the Thai food at lunchtime is at best forgettable; and the beer is frequently off. On the bright side, it is rarely overcrowded, its heart is more or less in the right place, it stays open till 4am and it is about 200 yards from my office. pouletnoir - 14 May 2008 19:01 |
yeah aint been in their since last year but !!! PLEASE GET THE PUB DONE UP !!! weird opening hours think it opens at 4am some nights that might explain why they dont bother with the interior have heard the barmaids are lovely might pop in when 6 pints down anonymous - 29 Nov 2006 12:31 |
A bit of a dump, but the current Eastern European staff are friendly [whereas the previous lot were awful and stole things] and it's the best pub in the area. Still a pretty bad place though. anonymous - 4 May 2006 17:47 |
