| A recently refurbished tradtional "family" pub in large grounds with ample parking and function rooms. The bar area is clean and well kept with an average selection of the usual lagers, beers & wines etc. I didnt eat on my visit though I do understand food is available. At present their are occasional live events and bbq's etc and its good to see the new management making good progress and effort to clean up what was, at one time, quite a rough venue. The toilets were very clean and well kept which did impress me as some venues fail badly in this respect.The general feel and atmosphere for the pub though was ok and quite friendly the night I popped in.It is however very much a pub for locals so if its something more your looking for then this venue may not be for you. ivanski - 23 May 2009 18:29 |
| Tucked away in a residential area, this large pub has a slight feel of having seen better days. If my recent visit was anything to go by, it is a popular place for pensioners having lunch, but perhaps it is a bit more lively in the evenings.
