| Over priced mediocre food with an incredibly slow service time. Spent half an hour waiting for a daily special. Bar staff seemed very moody, and un willing to engage in polite conversation with customers. Landlord drunk and abusive at the end of the bar, swearing loudly infront of young families. Quite a dirty environment, we sat down at an unclean table, and when the cutlery was delivered, my girlfriend was given a dirty knife. When i went to speak to the landlady about these issues, she got very aggitated and told us 'If you don't like it, go somewhere else', so we did. | Doombar and Butcombe available, so I opted for the latter, which is more or less my local ale. It was in good fettle, but I DO wish they wouldn't serve it through a swan neck! It's not John Smiths or Tetleys tha knows! Cod and chips was recommended by the filling station down the road, and it was edible, but like so many pubs, it came from the Brake Bros freezer, so mediocre describes it about right.
