Stopped here for a pint. Greene King and Island Brewery beer. Not very busy but seemed OK. Seems to have been recently taken over. ramblethenlunch - 16 May 2014 17:30 |
Avoid. Staff not that friendly and the food comes cold. Only real ale is Greene King. the_islander - 29 Jan 2012 14:36 |
I usually avoid Greene King beers like the plague but since this is a Greene King pub and I was in it there was no avoiding it. I had a pint of Abbot which was excellent - just don't tell anyone. The pub from the outside is most impressive and castle like as the name implies. Inside the bar is traditional - there is a pleasant outdoor area with bench seating for sunny days and smokers. chick - 11 Sep 2011 14:19 |
Very cheap BB offer. Room and general decor extremely tired. Bar also fairly empty and no atmosphere. Beer - Goddards - reasonable. southfields - 30 Mar 2011 18:26 |
stayed here in the middle of winter--expensive prices(its a hotel) for drinks, food nice, but a lot of it was unavailable at the time, very young staff, who seem to lack direction. 1dave - 31 Oct 2009 18:31 |
