M&B Vintage Inn which was refurbished a couple of years ago and which still looks pretty immaculate. My bœuf bourguignon was excellent and my first pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord was almost perfect (although the second didn't come with a head unlike the first). Didn't try the Doom Bar. Very handy for Wightwick Manor. paul_d102 - 12 Mar 2022 22:57 |
Went here for lunch with a group of friends as the place has long had a decent reputation locally. Food was overpriced for what it was, with the choices for non-meat eaters being significantly underwhelming (never heard of a veggie burger as a light bite?) Wine was served in a dirty glass - these things happen but the server had held the glass up to the light quite deliberately and looked closely at it, yet still passed it over. Mix up by the staff over desserts led to disappointment for one of our party. All in all not a very good first impression and one which means we won't be going back. Smudge64 - 7 May 2010 19:15 |
Good pub food here. Not much else to say really. Beer is ok. Clean and well kept pub restaurant type place. nipples - 31 Dec 2008 18:59 |
Nice enough place, but the landlord only seemed interested in you if you buy food! Usually have a good ale. Reccomend the Fieldhouse if you just want a drink. Mikael88 - 19 Nov 2008 22:45 |
