A large, bland Greene King chain pub geared for food, which I can't comment on because we didn't eat there... Some positives though; One of the beers was "Olde Trip" which is a lovely toffee-flavoured beer. There was also a small cider festival and the girl who served us was very nice and more than willing to let us taste any before buying. Also a free bouncy castle for patrons which is a great idea for families. My only complaint is that the bar area was very small in relation to size of pub which meant delays getting served... Visted the Railway Inn on Sunday to experience the worst Southen Fried Chicken Burger ever had. Upon receiving the food I was disgusted with the poor quality the onion rings were over cooked and greasy ONLY 6 in total, the southern fried chicken came with NO mayonnaise, burger relish or gherkin as advertised, and the salad garnish advertised was a few bits of shrivelled up lettuce, well past its edible time, and the bun was dried up and stale!!! On complaining the manager was rude and aggressive STAY AWAY IS THE ONLY ADVICE I CAN GIVE !!! beanoorange - 8 May 2012 12:13 |
Had a meal on Friday night [7/10/11] It was ok but it's what to expect from processed food pub although the chips were under cooked. The ale was not bad thou. I sampled greene king IPA. It's a fairly large pub and it was quite full. It's ok for a quick pint because it's a decent one but i would have second thoughts on the food and probably eat somewhere else . westminster - 11 Oct 2011 20:18 |
