| The Crown Hotel is a little gem. Lovely family run hotel with nice rooms and friendly staff, plus a good restaurant serving great food, all set in a lovely building (The lobby really is stunning, which you also enter for the public bar). The car park has a family of free range chickens with the eggs used for the great breakfast. I stayed in a family room for a couple of nights in February 2017 and we all had a great time. It’s hard to rate on BITE, as there was only one real ale on in the bar, which was Adnams Southwold IPA, however I wouldn’t really expect more from a Hotel of this size. There was also Thatcher’s Cider, Stella, Guinness and another lager, plus a very well stocked array of spirits and wines. The bar is a real snug, but had a lovely atmosphere, and was busy on both nights we were there. There are also tables on small front outside, which I’m sure get busy in the summer months.
