Has been refurbished recently and almost looks like a continuation of the Oxford Street Kitchen next door. Perhaps they've had to do it up to compete. Something of a locals pub (no bad thing) with a very nice pint of Pedigree on sale. Brakspears Oxford Gold was the other ale option (the Youngs Bitter having gone). paul_d102 - 2 Dec 2018 19:44 |

if you can look past the decor (which is bad and need of serious re-decorating) the beer and food are very good and the staff very pleasant and friendly. skippy13 - 8 Apr 2013 16:58 |
Brilliant hotel, superb rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast. kathryntyne - 18 Oct 2010 09:42 |
Good beer, fast friendly service and good food. The same group owns the Queen's Hotel in the Market Place and the Plough-on-the-Green by the Racecourse, but all round this is by far the best of the three. Dan137 - 15 Aug 2009 09:07 |
