| One of the most attractive pubs I've been in, though not really a place for the non-diner. Had just received a cider award from local CAMRA branch, and the perry from the fridge I tried was absolutely gorgeous, but can't therefore comment on beer. | Very quaint village pub. Intended to eat but hadn't booked so couldn't get in. Had 4 local real ales including Wylam, Northumbrian Blonde and Red Ellen (after Ellen Wilkinson the MP for Jarrow during the Jarrow Crusade) from the Jarrow Brewery which was very good. | A quaint looking kind of place though I did get the feeling that if you weren't a diner or a local then as a casual visiting drinker you weren't really too welcome (that table is reserved etc). | Had lunch here on Saturday 26th May 2012. Four beers on from North East breweries. Good food, though a tad expensive. Had the High House Farm Pullet Please @ 3.7% which was fine.
