| Since the last review this pub has been taken over by new owners, who have worked tirelessly to bring its customers the type of environment that is a pleasurable and comfortable experience. There is a great variety of beers, cask ales and wines. The food is all home made on the premises by their Head Chef offering a variety of daily specials cooked to order for lunch and dinner. | I went into this pub last night for the Sunday night Karaoke, I had a brilliant night and the Guinness was lovely , great staff (Thanks Sue the landlady) It was a little outta the way forom where I live , the toilets are a little too small (No urinals , just one pot) Other than that , I can highly reccomend this luverly little watering hole........ cossy52 - 17 May 2010 10:58 |
| I use this pub more than any other in the Shirley area, and have done so for the last 30 years. Minimal changes have taken place, and the beer is superb and reasonably priced. The food is also excellent and I often partake in a family meal on a Sunday, which is rather special. Only criticism is the bar with the coins in resin. I do think it's time for something new!
