| Doesn't quite know what it is doing. Is this meant to be an "Olde Worlde" pub in the centre of a small market town, or trying to grab the picture post card clientele. the type of pub that david cameron might choose to loose his daughter. | At last a decent pub with well priced food and beer in Chippenham! Timmy Taylors Landlaord and St Austell Tribute both at �2.20 a pint. I had the Lasagne and my wife had the Chicken curry. | If you appreciate good food at a reasonable price then go for lunch at the Rose and Crown. If you want a massive plate with 20 potatoes, leathery meat and gloopy gravy then this is not for you, try McSpoons. The food is of a higher standard than any other establishment in Chippenham and hats off to the owners who are filling a large gap in the market for people who appreciate good food and service, not just quantity. The staff have worked in well established restaraunts in the Chippenham area and at last, I can eat well and have a good drink without the hassle of travelling to a quaint village. judgeatnam - 7 Mar 2010 12:20 |
