| Last pub along the high street and we hadn't found anywhere doing food. This place went a bit too far towards the restaurant end of the scale but did have an absolutely perfect pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord. | Recently taken over by new owners, refurbished in a modern style and now largely a mediterranean restaurant known as the Rustic Kitchen. However, as befits a former hotel, there are plenty of separate rooms so there is still a bar area where you can enjoy a drink without having to buy food. | The Swan Hotel reopened in October 2009 following renovation and redecoration. It's definatley looking alot better than it has done for years! The restaurant is not yet reopened, but there is now regular guest ales on sale and live bands on friday and saturday evenings. bdowe - 3 Jan 2010 18:48 |
