Popped in here today for a lovely pint of Black Sheep, recieved a warm welcome. The pub looked lovely inside, and i liked the look of the menu and will be visiting again over the next couple of days for a meal the_wandering_barman - 16 Jul 2011 22:57 |
Nice pint of Riggwelter here. Also on were Landlord, Black Sheep Best and Theakston Best. Very nice pub, especially on such a beautiful day! Service prompt and polite. dynamiteninja - 15 Aug 2010 16:29 |
Gastro style pub with clean modern decor and quality food, which is why most people come. Good pint of the usual round here, Black Sheep best. If you want something more homely go round to the Red Lion, a bit of an unspoilt pub, in Langthwaite, where a chat can be had over a pint of, yes, you've guessed it, Black Sheep. brisk - 24 Dec 2008 11:41 |
Of course, this is better known as the CB. wittenden - 8 Dec 2007 14:26 |
A large pub in an isolated former lead mining dale. The food is well presented, and served in the bar, or in a more recent dining room. The bar stocks a well kept pint or Black Sheep and RiggwelterI. It has a welcoming atmosphere and buzz that is sadly lacking in its sister pub, the Puncbowl at Low Row.The accomodation is comfortable.Highly recommended. wittenden - 7 Dec 2007 23:37 |
