Stopped for a pint after a day on the beach at Winterton. Fantastic setting, and both Adnams and Woodefords (wherry, Ghost ship, Southwold best & Broadside). Hard to rate on one visit, but a busy pub and live singer in the bar suggests good things... Barrow_Beer_Hunter - 19 Aug 2018 21:56 |
Beautifully located pub with a garden running down to the River Waveney by St.Olaves Bridge. Opened at about 1100 last Saturday, which was good as I was thirsty! Nicely kept Woodfordes Wherry and Nelsons revenge. The exterior of the pub looks very old but the interior with hideous swirly carpet and dark pine furniture seems stuck in the 1980's. Food menu looked good. Would visit again. Hodge1 - 24 Jun 2012 16:12 |
Great location with nice garden overlooking the broads. Beer served well too. Beer_Spotter - 30 Apr 2012 14:20 |
Claims to be the oldest pub on the Broads. Don't know about that but the location is nice enough. It was on its last day before refurbishment when we called in. nickdavies - 4 Dec 2007 16:05 |
