| Nearly two and a half years on from "blue scrumpy's" review and I didn't think it looked open - but it was. It might help if the front door was left open. We were the only customers on a Wednesday mid-afternoon. Surprised it was open as Braughing does not get much through traffic. Three pumps at the small bar, two on serving Wadworth 6X and Wimbledon's Copper Leaf. I give the Landlady her dues, she poured off at least a pint from the pipes before serving my drink because it was the first pint that day. | The Brown Bear didn't look particularly promising from the outside. I wasn't even sure it was open. But the interior oozes character with a slate floor and plenty of beams. The bar is small, but each table still allows a fair bit of privacy. The 2 ales were from far afield - St Austell Trelawney & Purple Moose Madog's Ale.
