Cosy local pub with traditional opening hours. Good selection of beers and all seem well kept. Off the beaten track but worth the trek. Codrotten - 25 Oct 2011 19:57 |
We visited here on boxing day as its our new local. The staff seemed fairly friendly and although they let us in with our dog, they did seem slightly wary of him coming him. The decor is very 70s, but it is a fairly relaxed atmosphere, we will visit again. nooboots - 24 Jan 2010 20:42 |
Situated in an historic part of Broadstairs this lively local pub has 4 ale engines and a friendly atmosphere. It's still split into the original public and lounge bars with a pool table in the public bit and comfy seats in the lounge. I had a couple of well kept Broughton's Oatmeal Stout and will return to sample the other engines at Easter. Definitely worth a visit as is the rest of Reading Street with it's history. 9/10 Phantom_Raspberry - 15 Feb 2007 15:11 |
This in possibly the best pub in Thanet. Has your usual guiness, smiths, lagers etc. Also murphys which is quite rare round here. Best of all it always has 5-6 real ales always fantastic. Still has seperate saloon and public bars, and actually still maintains the traditional price difference between the two. The staff are very friendly, as are the locals, this pub is just faultless.
