An interesting pub with a large fireplace and a very pleasant manager. There was another bar next to the main one, but I couldn't see an access to it. The smell of paint indicates that they are still decorating and, judging by the other comments, have made a big improvement to it. Enjoyed a good couple of pints of Ruddles Best. Shame about the piped jukebox music, could be a bit intrusive if you didn't like the songs. Wagstaff - 10 Mar 2008 08:53 |
Went to this pub the other day and my god what an improvement on my last visit (roughly a year ago).So I found when i got talking to the young lady behind the bar the pub has changed hands and has by the look of it really started to clean its act up. Dont get me wrong the food was always generally pretty good here but the place always seemed a bit tired and dirty and the staff completly uninterested. If the new management/owners continue with there revial of this pub i think we could be looking at a real gem. I will defaintly be visiting again next time up down in the area. anonymous - 6 Jun 2007 20:19 |
Mediocre pub and that is being kind. It has a very tired interior, and compared to other local pubs is screaming for a refurb. Think 1960s time warp, rather than twee country pub. On a plus it has a good choice of ales and continental lagers and locals are friendly. With all the potential drive by trade, it could be something so much better- shame. anonymous - 11 May 2007 14:36 |
18c pub with two large bars, conservatory, restuarant and large garden. On B)*( east of dinton attracts diners and passing trade. rikbrewer - [email protected] - 9 Feb 2007 17:52 |
