And...... About Turn... No longer called La Sella but back to being The Saddle??!! second hand info on this establishment now that it has changed hands again, and reverted to a good old fashioned Pub. Beer is up to scratch, no news on what they serve, but i am lead to believe its worth a visit, a youngish crowd with a poker night..on a thursday i believe, Serious officinados of Poker can be located at The white Horse on a Tuesday night.. So Bravo the Saddle for reopening and going against national trends... Ziggles - 28 Jan 2011 14:36 |
Man_ at_ the_ bar's comments about everybody at the saddle having a great time and looking forward to going back are all well and good.... When they do return they will suffer a little confusion as the saddle is now La sella.. (Italian for The saddle) The pub has closed and in its place a Italian restaurant (you knew it would be Italian from the name change) has opened, if fizzy Italian beer is your thing then fill your boots, Real ale they have none of... If fine italian dining is your thing with competative wine (or fizzy Italian beer)then this could be the one for you.. I like and would reccomend. Tip of the day..Home made deserts= quality restaurant....deserts made off premises=slack chefing Ziggles - 13 Nov 2009 14:54 |
would just like to post that a lot of my regulars were in phils pub a few weeks ago,and were shown a great time, but alas one of the number had a dispute with me (kevin carter/red lion egham, surrey)and decided that a good way to have a go,was to sign up with beer in the evening and not only rubbish my pub and various other pubs in the area, but also have a go at the saddle, when we realised what was going on,i phoned phil and explained what had happened.i would just like to say sorry to phil and his staff for one persons moment of madness, the lady in question has now been barred from the red lion, and would like to add that everybody who was at the saddle said what a great time they had and are looking forward to going back, phil and his staff made then all welcome and they all said what a great landlord and a fantastic pub.cant give a rating dont know the pub. I found this pub unwelcoming - locals getting served quickly and out of turn & everyone lining the bar and making no room for a thirsty stranger! I walked out and took my custom elsewhere anonymous - 10 Dec 2006 15:51 |
