the pub does good food.but it always seems to be quiet in there.and i can never understand when they have a que of customers thers still only one serving. braemar - 22 Jul 2009 02:49 |
Typical Brewers Fayre and could do with a heavy injection of cash to bring it up to scratch as the decoration looks excessively tired and is rather off-putting. Having said that, the staff were welcoming and efficient and the beers (of limited range) were well kept. Didn't try the food but it lokked to be the typical grub of the chain. Big drawback for me was the screaming kids allowed to run around at will - but then, you seem to get ignorant parents everywhere these days. BobOs - 9 Dec 2008 16:16 |
took my family to this pub as I was told it had a ball park for my three year old daughter to play in. When I parked outside I looked at the pub and its tired paintwork and thought Oh my God what am I letting myself in for. Inside is nothing special but its not unclean. The ball park is fairly small but good enough to keep my three year old occupied for a couple of hours. What is very good about this premises are the following points. 1) The staff are the most friendly I have encountered in a long time, They made me feel very welcome and the service was second to none. This was not just one or two of the staff but also the waitresses. 2)The food- There was 5 meals brought out to our table, all was of good portions and very nice to eat. Lets not kid ourselfs here, it will not win any awards but it is good honest food. and of very good value (Mon-thurs two mains for 9) unfortunatley I went on a sunday. 3)it does not have an extensive beer menu but my old man enjoyed his and that says alot as he is the first to complain if there is anything wrong. There are kids running around and I suggest that if you are looking for somewhere quite or romantic this is not the place for you. If you have kids and want a clean safe place that does great food with excellant service then this is a great place to come. I live in Worthing and I wish it had something like this. Well done to all LOB - 15 Jul 2008 10:27 |
What a dump. Typical Brewers Fayre types who think this is a top class reataurant <doh> Kids running around all night Avoid, unless you are looking for a pub showing Sky and has a pool table. zagreb - 14 Aug 2006 19:29 |
