Boarded up and a builders sign outside - though no actual building as far as we could see.

Is it becoming flats? It is so sad that so many of the ordinary but nice pubs like this are closing to become flat conversions.

The more sad because this was a nice local gay bar that catered for the people when the new owners of The Champion, nearby, embarked on a campaign to move on (i.e. get rid o) their gay clientele of many decades.

Maybe the recession will see of the redevelopment and someone will re-open it ? We can at least dream.................

Looked like a converted house but I popped in for a quick half as it was on my way back. It took me about 3 minutes to realise that there were no women . Still its nice to know there is at least one advantage of being middle aged and ugly!.

Nice bar for the most part, however I did find the staff a little to interested in camping it up with their friends than actualy serving customers, which is a shame.

Excellent Gay Bar.
Brilliant place for a summer's eve of drinking. The outside space has decent furniture and umbrellas (incase of showers) and bonus its on a quiet street so no noise/fumes from traffic.
Big screen, cabaret and a welcoming crowd.
Cheap drinks mon to wed too!
