So so place hidden in a back street up a very steep slope. It may have been the time of day (it was early) so the place was lacking a bit. The interior is pleasant but this place is gonna have it's work cut out to compete with the upteen number of pubs in this town. 6/10 montie49 - 28 Nov 2016 17:54 |
This pub has been given a new lease of life, and is now more pub/wine bar and is much better for it, the interior is now far more welcoming as is the atmosphere. A good place to chill out and relax. mmbc - 1 Sep 2013 13:46 |
Good beer, character but very hot and stuffy. Sadly also felt like you were being viewed with suspicion and listened to a lot if you were not local. Persisted with going in as it was on the way home to where I was living at the time. Steep climb to it though and no outisde space. ladyday - 19 Jul 2008 16:59 |
A pleasant character pub in a back street not far from the harbour, but off the tourist trail. If you really feel like visiting Brixham (though heaven knows why you'd want to), it's not a bad place to search out. In summer there are makeshift tables and benches in the parking spaces outside with a delightful view of, err, the main town car park (soon to be Tesco's, we're told). Insufferably noisy on Saturday nights. Mrs_Ethel_Fronge - 16 Jan 2008 16:29 |
Not very much special about the pub itself, but the people there made it well worth the visit! Great fun and lots of atmosphere! Visit if you are in Brixham - if not go to Brixham and visit! Bard - 18 Oct 2007 12:51 |
