| I went there last week. It was pretty full of people eating. The beer (Brains) was OK but not inspiring. The Grove used to have more character (and nooks and crannies) before it was done up by Brains. Its now a bit anonymous. shredhead - 6 Jul 2009 21:50 |
| we really enjoyed the hotel bar: friendly staff, good service. the beer on tap is brains plus guinness (extra cold). no crisps, but "nibbles" available until 21:00 --- we had the nachos and the olives, both were very good. husemann - 13 Jun 2008 23:03 |
| This was one of the nearest pubs to the camp site we just spent a week at. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the locals were very friendly. Not the best beer in the world maybe, but it was so hot last week that I was drinking cider anyway. Great pub. angelus1981 - 17 Jul 2006 10:11 |
