I went in on a off chance as I heard new owners had taken over. I was very surprised the place looks very different now, it's looks AMAZING. They have 3 rooms with bars and serve wide range of draught. Guiness was only £2.50 apparently everyday ...and Thursday and Sunday all pints £2.50. I will definitely use this pub for all wolves home games as they have many screens and show live premiership. Friendly atmosphere, very polite staff...defo recommended. This Bar Has Been Recently refurb and has been turned into a high end sports bar, the first in town ! Not only is the Atmousphere great in this place but also they have many offers on a wide range of drinks. On thursday and sunday all pints are £2.50 but also amazingly have a pint of Guiness for £2.50 everyday of the week. They also have a pool table and a dart board. This venue offers live entertainment with live bands and kareoke! Plus have nights going on over weekends where this venue turns into a night club. I will be recommending this venue to all my family and friends. sunzy - 20 Jun 2014 00:49 |
I walked in through the first door into the porch area, over the second set of doors is a sign that says "Crackheads F**k Off To Hell". Oh great I thought, but I went in anyway. I was half expecting a scene from "Toughest Pubs in Britain" so I was slightly disappointed to find a huge shabby lounge with a couple of real crusties sat at the tables and a couple more at the bar. I went to the bar which had Banks's Original & Bitter on handpump. The barmaid finished serving a person at the other end of the bar and then went back to reading her paper. After a couple of strategic coughs she looked up and then started reading again. I thought bollocks to this and left. I suspect the beer was crap anyway. It's a desperate dive, don't go in. The handpulls serve Banks's MILD and bitter and at 1.80 a pint the MILD is about the cheapest in the town/city apart from the Wetherspoons where it is 1.39. The bar is a big room and the lounge is massive. The pub opens early at 10am which is useful to know. Beers are well kept. Stus.search.4.mild - 5 Jul 2006 15:24 |
