| Country pub in a nice location. It seems to have a focus on food, with a large dining area. But there was nobody eating. A handful of locals were watching the World Cup final. At the rear is a nice garden, overlooking a large field with horses. Ales are from Upham. Tipster & Punter are the regular ales. | Dreadful. Went in at lunchtime, pub almost empty with loud pop music blaring. Food was very expensive and not good at all (e.g. ham not properly cooked). Avoid if you can. miceman - 20 Jun 2015 09:43 |
| Lunch here the other day, very quiet but the manager was friendly and the food was good (but fairly expensive). Guest ale was tasty. BTW. Welcomes dogs, and my two hounds had a great time making annoyances of themselves. stjohnroe - 2 Jan 2012 19:41 |
| Need to get their act together. Unhelpful, overpriced and slow. Looks decent enough at first glance, so as my both wifes and my memory dims after 6 months or so we go back in. Always regret it for some reason or other. gumbril - 25 Sep 2010 20:38 |
| I'm so pleased to say this place must have had a change in management. The decor is beautiful, the staff are friendly and competent, the service is quick and it seems to be a professionally run establishment again.
