Two White Harts so close together? Does make things confusing. Even so this White Hart is an excellent pub with an enjoyable atmosphere. The pool tables appear to attract all types but the pub is spacious and offers Greene King Ales. 9/10. PubReviews2010 - 8 Jan 2010 23:02 |
I had lunch here today with the old gits. Food was alright and they have a 2 mains for 9. Was alright for lunch. Abbots and Belhaven Best were good. Pub was very clean and the garden was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the VALUE FOOD! Gorden_Bennet - 10 Jun 2008 18:11 |
The "old" White Hart is a newer brick pub, and although reasonably spacious, it is often very noisy - which is why the large beer garden to the rear of the pub is often busier than the inside of the building in the summer months. It is the sort of pub that hires bungee-jump cranes to pull the punters in, and claims to sell the "coldest beer in the village". Cold beer - don't they mean fizzy lager? The food is nothing special, but is is reasonably priced and there are "beer and bite" specials that give good value - some would say exceptionally good value for this area. Overall: good for grub, but noisy, and there are better pubs within a couple of miles. clancolin - 20 May 2005 23:46 |
Not to be confused with the White Hart just down the road. John - [email protected] - 31 May 2003 17:38 |
