| Now renamed as "The Blacksmiths arms", apparently it's original name... This has had some serious investment, and the result is amazing. It is now a high class restaurant with a bar area at the front. Food is inventive and staff attentive. Always hard to score a venture such as this on a traditional pub website, but it does serve Sharps Doom bar & Stowford press cider along with a couple of lagers. | Apparently opening up as a high class Bistro... There is certainly lots of building work going on. Will it work in Barrow? Maybe, if priced correctly it may challenge the "pub grub" establishments and take some trade from Quorn... Will it serve real ales you ask? Well, that's a totally different proposition... | Been visiting this area for a few years now, could find no MILD so suffered the Bass in here. It's a nice pleasant pub very cosy, good atmosphere. Last year found Ansells MILD down the road in The Trap, very dissapointingly gone this year so travelled down to Sileby for Ansells MILD in The Railway Inn, a very different type of pub.
