user reviews of the Broomhill Tavern, Broomhill

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Nicely traditionally upholstered with a good enough layout. However prices are high for the area, food although cheap is only served during the daytime, and when we ordered Lasagne it came burnt to a crisp. Nazi sport watching policy is in force, so if you finish your drink mid-game you are politely asked to leave! Could be a champion pub, but the bland ale selection, combined with the high prices and unfriendly attitude to watching live sport let it down!

Largish comfortable pub in the Broomhill area of Sheffield, where there is much student accommodation.

It's a not unpleasant pub, but with somewhat of a unremarkable and chainy / generic feel to it.

Beers on were Deuchars IPA at 2.50p, Black Sheep and Tetleys.

There's nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd or makes me feel like calling in again

Mainstream beers - Tetleys and Deuchars when I was in. Can get very busy and crowded and noisy with students and sportspeople but one of the better pubs in this part of Sheffield. Despite being frequently busy the barstaff are attentive and efficient - you should not have to wait long to get served. Good town pub with all the flashing lights of the one armed bandit, quiz machine, juke box and TV's if you like that sort of thing.

My local, currently. Friendly staff. Good quizzes on Monday and Tuesday, and a good-sized telly for the sport. Awesome jukebox, too. 2 for 9 selections certainly isn't bad.

A decent traditional pub with OK beer. Usually frequented by students but some locals still there. A big screen for sport.
