Another rural Wiltshire pub in a beautiful village location. Service wasn't the best. But the food being served up in the main bar and in the side room looked very tempting. Ales were Ringwood Best Bitter & Sixpenny Pale Ale & 6d Best. Nice pub. But could have been better with a nicer welcome.

Outstandingly good example of a well run but down to earth country pub. Superb beers and had a lovely meal on one of our two visits this year. Seems to thrive on a thankfully broad church of customer types.

Had an excellent pint of Sixpenny IPA in this very pleasant country pub after our bike ride.

Excellent Country Pub with a good choice of beer, Ringwood Best, Sixpenny IPA and 6X.
Run by a very pleasant couple and Labradoodle. Extensive menu and food quality very good, you would be well advised to book in advance in the evening and at weekends.
Dogs welcome in the bar area.

Pub has been bought by a go ahead couple, they were three months into the pub when we called in. It was during the early evening of the village country fair and the bar was packed so we had to push our way through to the bar. Looking at the menu, prices were most reasonable and we were accomodated in a table in a small but cosy area with other diners to the right of the bar. Food service was surprisingly quick, food was coming out of the kitchen at short intervals yet was apparently well appreciated by all concerned. The beer was excellent too.
