A great live music venue with numerous groups on throughout each month. Beer is good and the food is reliable pub grub. nigsad - 18 Jun 2009 22:17 |
Excellent, friendly pub. Good beer, great staff (Hi Dave!). I've only been there for some of the music nights - which are excellent fun. A bit out of the way maybe, but worth the trip. monkey_steve - 24 Nov 2006 16:58 |
Lunch menu varied but some food we ordered was not all that good quality. Felt more like a 'locals' pub. Felt a little out of place. baldyian - 25 Sep 2006 18:38 |
It's the Oldest inn in England, as it was the first to get a license. Parts of the building date back to 1171 and it is mentioned in the Doomsday book. The pub is a live music venue with acts playing up to three or four times a week. It also has a darts team, pool team, quiz nights, good homemade pub food lunchtime and early evenings plus choice of Sunday roasts. The building has an authentic log fire, with large garden outside and big car park. Dave Balcombe - [email protected] - 16 Mar 2006 13:47 |
