| This is a proper village local with friendly staff and regulars. If you happen to be staying at the Durrant House Hotel it certainly makes for a welcome escape from the hotel bar. | A decent enough pub this one. It is a fairly big place inside with seating one side and a pool table the other. We visited on a weekday lunchtime and the place was quite busy mainly with pensioners eating. We had the two meals for £10 deal which was ok for a lunch. | Tried all three of their pumps t'other night. Exmoor Gold, Doom Bar and Bombardier. All were well on their way to stale, in that annoying state where you can't quite justify taking them back to the bar . This is a Cask Marque pub. When did they last visit? | This is actually a good, no nonsense pub.The staff and the locals are really friendly and the beer is well kept. Being a free house, it's nice to get a change of taps now and again.I've had good reports on the food too, which is apparently good value and well cooked, in a homely kind of way.
