Recently taken over free house, one of them strange oriental cuisine/pub type offerings. Four ale pumps featured Doom,Sharps Cornish Coaster, jollyboat and Exmoor Gold. The Gold (£3.10pint) was nectar. A few people about for a wet Saturday in April, worth a visit. 6/10

Good small boozer in the town.

Pint of carling was good. The place is tatty but it kind of suits it.

New Year's Eve can be quite crowded but service good. Interior looks a bit bodged but better than factory built establishments.

Went in for the first time last weekend. Nice friendly clean pub and staff very welcoming. Fair selection of beers and 2 or 3 real ales. Unfortunately had a pint of one of my favouirites in the area, Old Appledore, which was served at arctic temperature and completely tasteless.Shame, but will go back to make sure it wasn't a one off.

A fairly small town pub with a very basic interior and smelly toilets. It was busy in advance of the Bideford Carnival. Three real ales were available - Jollyboat Freeboater, Country Life Old Appledore Ale and Bays Gold. The cider was Olde English.
