| AVOID THIS HOLE!! VILE VIOLENT STAFF, VILE ESTABLISHMENT!!! Don't even know where to begin. In one word 'disgusting'!! To elaborate...I went here for the first time on Saturday (1st March) as my Kiwi friend was over and wanted somewhere to dance. Absolutely hideous disgusting experience followed!!! We walked in, bar staff stood chatting ignoring us. My friend said 'are u serving because I've been waiting a while & would like 2 drinks'. The response.....'Are u f@cking talking to us, speak to us like that & we'll have u thrown out'!! Obviously now realising the staff here have anger issues we then spend the nxt 4 hours asking the regulars if they could take our money to the bar to get our drinks for us as we are too scared to approach the aggressive bar staff ourselves. We then left at 12:10am where the 'manager' (rough looking red headed women) follows us outside & shoved my friend from behind onto the pavement! The 'manager' then tries to continue the assault whilst screaming abusive language at her. Luckily a regular stepped in between & pulled her away. Obviously I go straight to the bouncers for help who's response is...'what's ur problem, she's the manager, your mate isn't bleeding and shouldn't have been rude'!! So apparently The Lounge think that common assault is an acceptable way to deal with customers they have taken a dislike too! It also might be worth pointing out that my friend is a 5ft 3inch small 21 year old, the 'manager' a large women in her 40's!! Would this have happened if my friend was a large ugly man!?! I would advise anyone to avoid this disgusting bar & it's disgusting staff at all cost...and I haven't even mentioned the disgusting sick/poo covered toilets & terrible music!!! saraho - 2 Mar 2014 14:16 |

| What is this place.... So many staff standing around looking gormless and moody perhaps they could make themselves busy and clean the sticky floor or wipe down the bar and with only 3 tables you would expect them to be clean as well. Great garden though and this could be an excellent pub. More tables more chairs less black paint and less attitude from staff you are a bar man/woman not a wag or model! pitstop - 4 May 2010 16:25 |
