| I was in here a few times just before Christmas when working at Cockfosters and found it a very good friendly traditional Pub I found Staff & other customers were welcoming on all occasions I went in. Ales I tried were all in good condition & nice and clear including AK & Country Bitter. Its about the nearest decent traditional Pub left in the area that has not been wreaked by the gastro foodie brigade . I also found the Prices very reasonable in comparison too where I live in Muswell Hill where your lucky too get a Pint for less than around �4.00 now. | Ignore these quite clear ignorant fools that are saying that the Lord Kitchener is a local 'chav' house and is full of Fascist and work shy men, based on their short reviews of the pub their obviously out to hate on the pub. anyway that aside the lord kitchener is a reasonably quiet pub that generally has a very good friendly atmosphere whatever the occasion. It has 2 wide screen Tv's which makes watching sports easy , pleasant and not cramped which is great because its a small pub. The beer is great quality no matter how pricey it is because at the end of the day a pub is about the people not the price of the beer and at the lord kitchener your almost guaranteed a friendly group of people, oh yeah and also its well worth going down their on quiz night every thursday it always makes a good night out., even if you dont win!. seany_91 - 1 Aug 2010 22:24 |
