Stopped in Broad Chalke during a long drive and had a little lunch break at The Queen's Head, absolutely delightful pub. Excellent food, very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere, will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again :) CaptainBeerFace - 31 Mar 2015 08:22 |
Excellent pint of Hopping Hare in the appropriate glass, prawn sandwich and salad was fine. Helpful staff, outside seats at the front of the pub or at the bach in the garden leading to the car park. Friendly locals created a good atmosphere, there were also a number of diners sharing the bar area.. Feed - 5 Mar 2011 21:03 |
Stayed overnight here. Accommodation fine, staff very friendly but somewhat untrained. Beer is Badger range in good condition. Food OK but pricey for what it is. Newish tenants are trying hard so it may well improve. newbury_drinker - 4 Oct 2009 17:45 |
It's ok, not fantastic. The beer is drinkable and the food edible. They have a good warm stove for cold evenings which is a nice touch. It is one of the few places to stay in the area which could result in the rooms being awful, but they aren't, so they must be at least trying. tmcmurr1 - 11 Dec 2007 17:08 |
