Now more of a cafe with an interesting selection of bric a brac in the back and a quasi village shop feel. people were largely there for scones, tea and cakes and all were good while Shotover beers are appropriately available albeit only in bottles. A goof attempt at a community hub but not really a boozer. BoehmBawerk - 26 Oct 2018 06:54 |
Rather more upmarket enterprise than the other pubs in Wheatley but it was a little quiet. Gravity Black Sheep on but it was rather astringent so we we made our excuses and left. I would come back but it would be nice if they had something in reserve. Booze_Allen - 21 Aug 2008 21:00 |
Walked in, bar straight ahead with 5 handpumps. No pumpclips though and informed one real ale on the gravity, had 2 pints of vinegar served up, didn't drink it, we didn't pay for it and so, dear reader, we were back out the pub in less than 5 minutes. It was more of a resto-pub than a pub. Abteilung - 18 Aug 2008 21:22 |
Excellent food, spoiled by tatty seating, furniture and decorations. Jim - 6 Feb 2006 20:54 |
