Got to agree with SW6 on all counts: the guest ales are "variable quality", and the the "bankers" (6X/London Pride) are OK, if expensive. You go here for the food and the music; not the real ale. That said, even adding just Stowford would improve it a lot... kon23uk - 29 Aug 2011 16:53 |
Hey there beatles38, not 5 minutes away are the Gluepot and the Cricketers if you want cider (yes the selection in the Rolly is crap). On to the pub. Live music most weekends, friendly staff, good food, can't comment on the beer coz I don't drink it. You get a good mixed crowd in here on a regular basis. If you're looking for real ale maybe not the best choice, but that don't make it a bad pub. SW6 - 10 Oct 2010 19:11 |
London pride , reach for the sky , 6x and lp were the beer choice , the quality of my reach for the sky was poor . the cider was all keg , ok that might be par for this part of the world . nice inside . didn't have the food , but drunks wise on this visit not much to recommend it.4/10 beatles38 - 10 Aug 2010 17:25 |
First had a drink in here 9 years ago and have only recently started going in there again. Improved beyond all recognition. RichT - 24 Apr 2008 15:55 |
Real Ale, but expensive! Food is excellent, but the last few times we've eaten there they've taken almost an hour to do our food! Still, it's worth a visit. kon23uk - 21 Mar 2008 20:26 |
