| Attended a family wedding here. A nice sprawling place with a cobbled courtyard and small beer garden. No great shakes on the real ale front, pretty generic stuff but the food served was superb. Great for functions and a meal. mph - 10 Jun 2013 22:42 |
| A bit on the pretentious side of things, but in York's self proclaimed "Cultural Quarter" so I guess that is to be expected. A bit run of the mill, lots of overpriced premium lager and cocktails. I guess if we were in the eighties, this place would be the personification of a Yuppies hangout. Nothing terribly wrong with it, but it's only a two minute walk to Stonegate, Goodramgate and St Sampson's Square, where plenty of real pubs await ! MountainMan - 6 Feb 2010 17:07 |
