Cool place beer abit steep on the price, but you don,t get nobs of brookstreet in there. The gig end smells like a recording studio. Its abit like the cafes europe, safe for kids. Not some where to get drunk. tintin2000 - 30 Dec 2006 12:58 |

An intimate 'jazz theatre' tucked away in a small courtyard in the beautifully historic city of Chester, this pub is famous in the city for its alternative comedy nights every saturday, boasting the longest running comedy club outside of London and its yearly Jazz and Blues festival, Its a great place to relax during the day with its huge beer garden running alongside the famous roman walls and hugely enjoyable in the evening with some kind of entertainment provided almost every night ranging from Jazz and Blues bands to Shakespeare. Because of its location Alexanders is one of Chesters best kept secrets, a far cry from the lairy bars in town and thankfully not at all as pretentious as similar places can be. rl3_hill - 1 Dec 2005 21:05 |
