Stopped here for lunch one weekday in April (I think, snow was still on the ground anyway). It was quiet but we decided to eat. Had very recently been taken over by a new team. Very pleasant staff and a menu with good, interesting home cooked food. Had an ale of some sort, was good though I'm not really an expert on real ale. It is now picking up some good reviews on TripAdvisor and I'm not surprised. CityQuaffer - 30 Aug 2013 15:13 |

Great to see this back someway to what it used to be. Not exactly the same but itll do and has done its best with fitting it out with what was left after the bar and courtyard sprang up and then disappeared. Food reasonable and hopefully a visit during the summer months, the real summer months, will help me to discover the beer garden cheersforthebeers - 18 Apr 2011 01:07 |
A nice pub, recommend a drink there. Staff freindly and good refurb. Shame to see the bar trade go but it did need a good lick of paint. last landlady was brilliant, will be sadly missed!! molly21 - 16 Sep 2007 22:58 |
