Lovely pub. Very well kept ale. Charming character and friendly welcoming staff. Only negative was the Greene King ales sold here which isn't everyone's favourite nevertheless, well cared for and served at the correct temperature. TraderTony - 25 Sep 2013 12:35 |
Friendly welcome from the staff, nice chatty atmosphere harryhotdog - 3 Apr 2010 09:08 |
Good, honest village pub with excellent, friendly staff. We had Sunday lunch here, roast beef and roast lamb were both excellent. Cheese board wasn't that great, but you can't have everything. Beer - had 2 pints of Greene King, very good. Would definitely go here again. Razor55 - 6 Dec 2009 17:38 |
Full of character, and at certain times, full of endearing charaters. Good food, decent cellar with guest beers weekly. Opening times are traditional: weekdays 11-2:30 Not open Sunday evenings, but by then enough is enough of a good thing! Nice patio area and dog friendly (as long as Dylon, the pub dog, approves - an extremely friendly border collie). Good walks make this an inviting stop - at the end - or the beginning - or at any time! chasart - 12 Dec 2006 19:20 |
