This is the second time in as many weeks we have been here. Pleasant pub, friendly staff Masterbrew,Spitfire and Whitstable Bay on draught which are good.Garden/ patio area clean and tidy ,so too were the toilets. We will come here again. Chirple - 19 Sep 2015 23:22 |
Will echo the previous comment as my mate described his Masterbrew as 'excellently kept'. Small garden area and the internal redecoration works due to the amount of light able to enter through the glass doorway. Unobtrusive TV on offer for games without annoying those that aren't interested. filf - 12 Mar 2012 01:22 |
We popped in here for a quick drink on the Saturday afternoon before Christmas. The pub has been redecorated and our dog was allowed in.The Shepherd Neame Spitfire was very nice which was enjoyed with a couple of large bags of crisps. We will go here again. It was very pleasant. I visit this pub once a year when Surrey come to play Kent at bar billiards.....we always get a tremendous welcome and the table must be one of the best-maintained in the country. Agree with Ivanski about the toilets, tho. tommo5 - 25 Jul 2011 13:43 |
This is an example of a good old style local pub -which seems quite endangered these days, anyway.......... A friendly crowd with good bar service and an ok but somewhat limited drinks and ale menu but ok for most tastes. Dont know about food though. It could do with some paint and new carpets as well as some decent toilets but having said that its within tolerance. Live music most weekends, bar-billards, fruit machines, cd juke box, local charity events etc. Smoking area to the rear if you want. If your driving parking is a no no as there is double yellows all round so best to park 200+ meters away nearby. A local pub for local people, what else can I say. ivanski - 1 May 2010 13:54 |
