This place on our visit to Kingswear looked CLOSED down and up for sale. Steamer1 - 1 Oct 2013 09:54 |
This is the worst pub in Kingswear. It is in a good location near to the ferry and was full of locals when we visited. Agree with the comment about it being like a transport cafe. 5/10 montie49 - 19 Aug 2011 18:18 |
There are three pubs in Kingwear and this pub is well maintained and very spacious. There is a but though, the beer, OTTER ALE, in this pub in noticeably different in the way it is maintained, too cold and almost flavourless compared to the other pubs in the village. There were 3 beers to choose, all from local brewers. The price of the beer was also more expensive and if you want a bar snack...I hope you like ready salted crisps, as that is the only snack that is on offer. The staff are a little aloof, but will service you if they are not watching Dickin's Real deal. Out of all the pubs available, this should be the last one you visit. Its still worth a go. Cheers. johnny283 - 13 Jan 2011 16:55 |
Excellent location from leaving the the train and joining the ferry! Good beer, their own pale ale is good and very good prices. Friendly staff. Roberttherailway - 1 Sep 2009 18:46 |
Our 25th wedding anniversary meal was made very special by the staff and Landlord of the Royal Dart who set up a private dinning area on the balcony overlooking the river for us with music and was very attentive throughout the whole meal. Food was lovely and would also recommend it for families, a night to remember. jrutherford - 30 May 2009 22:52 |
