Horrible place, poncey and overpriced. nickthefish - 9 Dec 2013 20:59 |
All recent reviews are with the exception of the excellent Pat Bateman are from people who've only reviewed one pub, and read like adverts. AbeC - 29 Jun 2012 18:15 |
The pub features a great Sunday roast (13 for beef), good atmosphere, and friendly staff. The food really is done quite well, and the board games mean that an a Sunday afternoon lunch can extend for many enjoyable offers. Bets to reserve a table for a large group on the weekend, but normally plenty of space for four or less. They've got a good selection of beers, including three cask beers and about a half dozen other handles. Their wine list is also pretty good, and fairly reasonable. Overall it's a great pub that is run great people. I haven't come on weekdays yet, though I've heard from friends that they have a nice crowd after work, and that the weekly pub quiz is run well. deadybear - 20 Feb 2012 11:25 |
I am lucky to live so close to this place, it's an absolute gem. Great food and not too expensive. Guest ales on tap mean you don't have to suffer the same old premium lager rubbish. Lack of a darts board meant I gave a 9 rather then a ten, but enjoyed the board games that were on offer. Really recommend this place, and I will continue to go here again and again.
