| Even though the last comment is nearly 15 months old I agree with it 100%. The pub is clean, tidy and presentable. Service is good but it lacks......something. The pub next door is a hell of a lot better. But I'll still give this on a 7/10 rating. wolvesfan - 4 Apr 2014 17:35 |
| This pub is okay. The food is okay. The beer is Greene King, but if you avoid that and go for the guest, then the beer will be okay. The landlord is friendly. The place is clean. The regulars are friendly enough. It's all okay. It just lacks character. sew - 1 Dec 2011 16:42 |

| This pub ticked all the boxes for me; good, home cooked and fairly priced food, exceptional well kept beers, roaring log fire, en suite bedrooms full of character, warm and plenty of piping hot water. The tv area was seperate and has sky sports to satisfy my love for football, rugby and cricket. Enjoyed the Tribute and Morlands. There was even a selection of books to browse while I waited for my dinner, the angus sirloin was superb. Sunday lunchtime was the place was heaving and dedicated to the magnificent roast I tried both the mouthwatering topside and leg of pork (crackling to die for).
