| The staff were friendly, and there were two or three real ales: I had a pretty decent Manchester Pale Ale. However, the main trade seems to be food, and all tables appear to be set for people to eat. Trade in that seems brisk, with quite a few kids, so it's not really the place for a few pints and an extended chat as far as I could make out. The swing doors to the kitchen are very loudly squeaky, and with the constant to-ing-and-fro-ing that makes the part of the pub near them one to be avoided. The decor's traditional: paisley and floral prints, a mixture of darkish wood tables, some armchairs etc., in a large, variously levelled single roomed pub, with recesses and alcoves, but the overall feel is rather industrial-commercial. 6/10 eddybeer - 16 Oct 2014 21:33 |
| I think attempts have been made recently to get rid of the rowdy element, which seems to be a sport for some of the pubs in the area. Was not that busy in my mid-week visits, have the usual entertainmants on, quiz night, sport etc. drphibes - 16 Nov 2007 17:02 |
| This pub is in a good residential location, and attracts a young and rowdy element, as most pubs do at the weekend. I visited it with my missus one afternoon a few weeks back, and the food was quite good, reasonably priced, and the bar staff, friendly and courteous. I would visit again, but as there are so many good pubs in the Salford area, this may be some time yet. joolzy - 11 Aug 2007 22:51 |
