It's owned by the hotel behind it, who think it's an inconvenience, but aren't allowed to close it

What a massive disappointment this pub has become. Boring interior, detatched and uninterested staff, and the beer...Doombar!!
With so many breweries locally one wonders what on earth is going on!!
Is this a genuine Free House? We think's not!!

Have never liked this pub, the smell of the food cooking is too overbearing. Prefer the Star.

This is a friendly pub that went up market a few years back. The menu is always interesting and prices are what you'd expect from a gastro pub, nothing frightening. Big rear garden and small front terrace that faces the church, always reminds me of being in a french village. Inside a cosy fireplace is lit in the colder months. A must mention is the stylish toilets. Very pleasant staff. Ok, onto the serious stuff - the two main ales on regular sale - Fullers London Pride and Sharpes Doombar. Both Ales are served to perfection and that is a rare thing these days! Current prices are about 3.50 a pint which is painful to everyones pockets but about average now in country pubs. The big plus is at least you are getting an outstanding pint of beer for your money. There's Aspals Cider and some lagers on for the non-ale drinkers out there. All in all a great place for a quiet pint or to meet up with friends and have a quality meal.

And by the way Fazerblue the pub sells real handmade crisps as opposed to walkers. I guess if you want quality you have to pay for it. Maybe you'll find a pub more suited to your needs in Crawley.
